ENDUR-ACIN eliminates for most individuals the unpleasant skin flushing that occurs when taking niacin. ENDUR-ACIN utilizes a unique wax-matrix process that ensures uniform, continuous release of niacin over 6 – 8 hours. This greatly reduces stomach upset associated with a high concentration of niacin and skin flushing associated with a rapid rise in blood levels. ENDUR-ACIN is usually well tolerated in single doses of 500 - 750 mg. Higher single doses can increase the likelihood of flushing, and can therefore be divided into a twice daily regimen to minimize the chance of side effects.
